Samuel Rathbun

Samuel was born on August 2nd, 1672 in Newport, Rhode Island.¹ Samuel's father was John Rathbone and his mother was Margaret Acres. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Rathbone and Alice Childwall; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Acres. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Joseph, Sarah, Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers named William and Samuel. He died at the age of 84 on January 24th, 1757 in Block Island, Rhode Island.¹
