Nancy Pengree

Nancy was born on January 17th, 1813 in Screven Co., GA.¹ Nancy's father was Thomas Pengree and her mother was Catharine Waters. Her paternal grandparents were William Pengree and Rebecca Rosetta Downoy; her maternal grandparents were John Hanil Waters and Catherine. She had a brother and seven sisters, named James Marion, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Catherine, Martha, Caroline and Louisa. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.¹
