Mary Pengree

Mary was born on October 30th, 1809 in Screven Co., GA.¹   Mary's father was Thomas Pengree and her mother was Catharine Waters.  Her paternal grandparents were William Pengree and Rebecca Rosetta Downoy; her maternal grandparents were John Hanil Waters and Catherine. She had a brother and seven sisters, named James Marion, Elizabeth, Sarah, Nancy, Catherine, Martha, Caroline and Louisa.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 36 on August 15th, 1846.¹
