Catherine Pengree 
Catherine was born on October 20th, 1817 in Screven Co., GA.1 Catherine's father was Thomas Pengree and her mother was Catharine Waters. Her paternal grandparents were William Pengree and Rebecca Rosetta Downoy; her maternal grandparents were John Hanil Waters and Catherine. She had a brother and seven sisters, named James Marion, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Nancy, Martha, Caroline and Louisa. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.1 -
