Elizabeth Pengree

Elizabeth was born on March 6th, 1807 in Screven Co., GA.¹ Elizabeth's father was Thomas Pengree and her mother was Catharine Waters. Her paternal grandparents were William Pengree and Rebecca Rosetta Downoy; her maternal grandparents were John Hanil Waters and Catherine. She had a brother and seven sisters, named James Marion, Mary, Sarah, Nancy, Catherine, Martha, Caroline and Louisa. She was the oldest of the nine children.¹
