William Newton 
William was born about 1845 in Screven Co., GA.1 William's father was William Newton and his mother was Jemima Parker. His maternal grandparents were James Parker and Elizabeth Sasser. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James Madison, Augustus R., George M., Mary Elizabeth, Jane A., Martha M. and Cynthia Ann. He was the oldest of the eight children.
