His paternal grandparents were John William Moore and Dicey Sikes; his maternal grandparents were William Barber and Mary A. Hendrix. He had five brothers and a sister, named William B., Sebron Thomas, Thomas Street, Hardy Hunter, Virgil Powers and Jane E.. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Marshall and Sarah E.. He died before 1910 in Emanuel Co., GA. He was buried in Rocky Creek, Emanuel Co., GA.1 1 General Notes
