Arvil was born on March 30th, 1895 in Persimmon Dist., Rabun Co., GA.1 Arvil's father was Rufus F. Kilby and his mother was Mary Lenrene Parker. His paternal grandparents were Henry A. Kilby and Margarette E. Woods; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Addison Parker and Mary Hawkins. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Elbert Lee, Samuel Austin, Edmond, Rufus Otto, Lawrence Fred, Elbie V., Minnie P. and Vernie Mariller. He died at the age of 4 on November 12th, 1899 in Persimmon Dist., Rabun Co., GA. He was buried in Persimmon Dist., Rabun Co., GA.1 1 General Notes
