John Gerald Kalkman 
John Gerald was born on July 22nd, 1922 in Holland, Michigan.1 John Gerald's father was Cornelius "Casey" Kalkman and his mother was Elizabeth Roels. His paternal grandparents were Kryn Kalkman and Maria Hoogendorp; his maternal grandparents were Pieter Roels and Adriana Brandt. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Kryn, Cornelius "Neil", Peter, Albert, Albert, John Gerald, Nellie, Jennie Adriana and Marie. He died due to Heart Attack at the age of 67 on October 14th, 1989 in Holland, Michigan.1 General Notes

John died of a heart attack at his home. He had a military funeral at the cemetery in Holland, Michigan. There was a 21 gun salute. After the flag was flown, it was given to his eldest daughter Pat. She returned it to the Veterans so it could be flown the following Memorial Day with about 200 other flags. It had his name on it.
John Kalkman was a cement finisher in Holland.
