Matilda Griffin

Matilda was born on April 11th, 1769.¹ Matilda's father was Benoni Griffin and her mother was Mary DeLacy. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Griffin and Elizabeth Welton. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Benoni, Peter, Joab, Abner, Phineas, Abraham, Levi, Hannah, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha and Ninian. She was the second youngest of the thirteen children. She had a half-sister named Martha.¹
