Richmond Bledso was born on November 23rd, 1840 in Yalobusha, Mississippi.1 Richmond Bledso's father was Solomon Goar and his mother was Susan Christian. His maternal grandparents were James Christian and Elizabeth M. Unknown. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas A., James Christian, George W., Francis Marion, Solomon P., Elizabeth and Mary Emeline. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named William Madison. He died at the age of 77 on July 22nd, 1918 in Jester, Greer, Oklahoma.1 -
