William Jones Dean

William Jones was born about 1852 in Jonesville, Liberty Co., GA.¹   William Jones' father was Gideon Barnwell Dean and his mother was Elizabeth Williams.  His paternal grandparents were Jesse Dean and Mary Ann Unknown. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Samuel John, Allen William, Gideon Barnwell, Beauford Le Conte, King David, Mary C., Sarah Isabella, Louisa Victoria, Elizabeth Clifford, Henrietta Alice and Lillian Gertrude.  He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He had three half-sisters named Unknown, Margaret M. and Eliza Catherine.¹
