Samuel John Dean

Samuel John was born about 1836 in Liberty Co., GA.¹   Samuel John's father was Gideon Barnwell Dean and his mother was Elizabeth Williams.  His paternal grandparents were Jesse Dean and Mary Ann Unknown. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Allen William, Gideon Barnwell, Beauford Le Conte, William Jones, King David, Mary C., Sarah Isabella, Louisa Victoria, Elizabeth Clifford, Henrietta Alice and Lillian Gertrude.  He was the oldest of the twelve children. He had three half-sisters named Unknown, Margaret M. and Eliza Catherine.  He died about 1873 in Mc Intosh Co., GA.  He was buried about 1873 in Mc Intosh Co., GA.^1 1
