Mary C. Dean

Mary C. was born about 1837 in Jonesville, Liberty Co., GA.¹   Mary C.'s father was Gideon Barnwell Dean and her mother was Elizabeth Williams.  Her paternal grandparents were Jesse Dean and Mary Ann Unknown. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Samuel John, Allen William, Gideon Barnwell, Beauford Le Conte, William Jones, King David, Sarah Isabella, Louisa Victoria, Elizabeth Clifford, Henrietta Alice and Lillian Gertrude.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children. She had three half-sisters named Unknown, Margaret M. and Eliza Catherine.¹
