Joseph Whiteside Allison 
Joseph Whiteside was born on December 12th, 1790 in Orange Co., N. C..1 Joseph Whiteside's father was David Allison and his mother was Jane Gwinn. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Allison and Elizabeth Alecona Ray; his maternal grandparents were Moses Gwinn and Elizabeth Unknown. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Moses Gwinn, Grizzie, David Ray, James, Melissa Elizabeth, Jennie, Mary Gwinn, Catherine and Sarah. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 53 on June 17th, 1844 in Orange Co., N. C..1 -
