James Allison 
James was born on May 13th, 1804 in Orange Co., N. C..1 James' father was David Allison and his mother was Jane Gwinn. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Allison and Elizabeth Alecona Ray; his maternal grandparents were Moses Gwinn and Elizabeth Unknown. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Whiteside, Moses Gwinn, Grizzie, David Ray, Melissa Elizabeth, Jennie, Mary Gwinn, Catherine and Sarah. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 79 on April 17th, 1884 in Orange Co., N. C..1 -
