David Ray Allison 
David Ray was born in 1802 in Orange Co., N. c..1 David Ray's father was David Allison and his mother was Jane Gwinn. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Allison and Elizabeth Alecona Ray; his maternal grandparents were Moses Gwinn and Elizabeth Unknown. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Whiteside, Moses Gwinn, Grizzie, James, Melissa Elizabeth, Jennie, Mary Gwinn, Catherine and Sarah. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 72 in 1874 in Orange Co., N. C..1 -
