David of was born in 1144 in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England.  David of's father was Henry Stewart and his mother was Ada of Surrey.  His paternal grandparents were David I "The Saint" of Scotland and Matilda Margaret De Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William De Warenne and Isabel Elizabeth De Vermandois. He had two brothers and a sister, named William of, Malcolm IV of and Ada. He had a half-sister named Avice or Avicia.  He died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1219 in Yardley, Northants.

‌David of and Maud were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1190 in Scotland.  They had a son and five daughters, named John of, Isabel of, Princess of, Ada, Ada of and Maud of.
