William I of was born on October 14th, 1028 in Falaise, Calvados, Normandy, France.  William I of's father was Robert I of Normandy and his mother was Herleve of Falasia.  His paternal grandparents were Richard II of Normandy and Judith De Rennes; his maternal grandparents were Fulbert "The Tanner" De Falaise and Duxia (Doda). He had two sisters named Adeliza and Adeliza of. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert of, Odo of, Emma and Muriel.  He died at the age of 58 on September 10th, 1087 in Hermenbraville, Rouen, Normandy.  He was buried on September 10th, 1087 in L'Abaye-A'ux-Hommes, St.Stephen Abbey, Caen, Normandy.

‌William I of and Matilda were married in a religious ceremony in 1050 in Angi Castle, Angi, Normandy, France.  They had four sons and four daughters, named Richard, Henry I 'Beauclerc' of, Robert "Curthose" of, William, Gundreda of, Alice, Cicily and Constance.
