David I "The Saint" of was born about 1080 in Scotland.  David I "The Saint" of's father was Malcolm III Canmore and his mother was Margaret the Saxon.  His paternal grandparents were Duncan I "The Gracious" MacCrinan and Sibyl FitzSiward; his maternal grandparents were Edward "The Outlaw" Atheling of England and Agatha of Friesland. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Heth, Alexander I of, Edgar of, Matilda (Edith) of and Mary. He had a half-brother named Duncan II of.  He died on May 23rd, 1153 in Carlisle, England.
