Edmund II "Ironside" of was born in Wessex, England.  Edmund II "Ironside" of's father was Ethelred II of England and his mother was Elfleda of Deira.  His paternal grandparents were Edgar I "The Peaceful" of England and Elfthryth; his maternal grandfather was Thored of Northumbria. He had four brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Eadred of, Aethelstan of, Edgar of, Egbert of, Princess of, Abbess of, Edith of, Wulfhild of and Eadwig of. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Edward "The Confessor" of, Alfred of and Goda of.  He died on November 30th, 1016 in London, England.  He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey.
