John Underwood 
John was born about 1730 in London Grove Twp., Chester Co., PA.. John's father was Alexander+ Underwood and his mother was Mary Jane+ Harris. His paternal grandfather was Samuel+ Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Mary Ann+ Wilcocks; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Harris and Elizabeth Brinton. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Joseph, Benjamin, Elihu, Mary+, Elizabeth, Jane, Olive and Ruth. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died on June 18th, 1776 in Warrington Twp., York Co., PA.General Notes
