Philippine Phoebe was born on April 2nd, 1818 in Lehigh Co., PA. Philippine Phoebe's father was Peter Troxell and her mother was Magdalena Siegfried. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Troxell and Maria Veronica X. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, Isaac, John, Jeremiah, Peter, James, Magdalena, Lydia, Hannah, Ursula and Juliana. She was the second youngest of the twelve children.
