He had seven brothers and five sisters, named George Franklin Adam, Alfred John Christian, Willoughby, Isaac Peter, Hiram Robert Lewis, William, Matthias Ephraim, Susanna Caroline, Eliza Ann, Kitty Ann Helena, Elmira Ellen Kittianna and Mary Magdalena.
