Mary E. was born after 1863. Mary E.'s father was Richard Stokes Riggins and her mother was Adaline Davis. Her maternal grandparents were Bluford Gatliff Davis and Mary Jane Edwards. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Bluford, Charles W., John Henry, Albert, Sarah Mandilla and Nora. She is the third oldest of the seven children.General Notes
