Martha Henry

Martha was born in 1755 in Pine Slash, Hanover Co., VA. Martha's father was Patrick Henry and her mother was Sarah Shelton. Her paternal grandparents were John Henry and Sarah Dabney Winston; her maternal grandfather was John Armistead Shelton and her maternal grandmother is Eleanor Parks. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Edward, Anne and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the six children. She had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Patrick, Alexander Spotswood, Nathaniel West, Richard, Edward Winston, John, Dorothea Spotswood, Kitty, Sarah Butler, Martha Catherine, Fayette and Jane Robertson. She died at the age of 63 in 1818 in Leatherwood Plantation, Henry, VA.
