Dorothea Spotswood Henry

Dorothea Spotswood was born on August 2nd, 1778 in Governor`s Mansion, Williamsburg, Surrey, VA. Dorothea Spotswood's father was Patrick Henry and her mother was Dorothea Spotswood Dandridge. Her paternal grandparents were John Henry and Sarah Dabney Winston; her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel West Dandridge and Dorothea Spotswood. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Patrick, Alexander Spotswood, Nathaniel West, Richard, Edward Winston, John, Kitty, Sarah Butler, Martha Catherine, Fayette and Jane Robertson. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, William, Edward, Martha, Anne and Elizabeth. She died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1854.
