John Henry 
John was born on February 16th, 1796 in Red Plantation, Charlotte Co., VA. John's father was Patrick Henry and his mother was Dorothea Spotswood Dandridge. His paternal grandparents were John Henry and Sarah Dabney Winston; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel West Dandridge and Dorothea Spotswood. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Patrick, Alexander Spotswood, Nathaniel West, Richard, Edward Winston, Dorothea Spotswood, Kitty, Sarah Butler, Martha Catherine, Fayette and Jane Robertson. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, William, Edward, Martha, Anne and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 71 on January 7th, 1868.General Notes
