Charles L. was born on September 22nd, 1873 in Cumberland, IL. Charles L.'s father was Silas Asberry+ Easton and his mother was Eveline Lavina+ Strader. His paternal grandparents were Richard Westeroak+ Easton and Cynthia+ Waldrop; his maternal grandparents were Rolley+ Strader and Sarah H.+ Stewart. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James Albert, Ulysses Wesley, Lenuel, Sarah Mildred+, Mary Elizabeth, Emma B. and Laura Alinda. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 86 on April 22nd, 1960. He was buried in Old Gordon Cemetery, Coles Co., IL.General Notes
