Jacob Doane 
Jacob was born on August 1st, 1801 in Cane Creek Mm, Chatham, NC. Jacob's father was Joseph Doane and his mother was Jemima Vestal. His paternal grandparents were John Doane and Ruth Dixon; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Curran+ Vestal and Elizabeth+ Davis. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, John, William, Joseph, Jesse, Jonathan, Elisha, Ruth, Elizabeth, Rachel and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 73 on April 24th, 1875.General Notes
