Margaret Carter 
Margaret was born on February 10th, 1766 in Cane Creek, Orange Co., NC. Margaret's father was Samuel Carter and her mother was Mary Barnes. Her maternal grandparents were Brinsley+ Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth Barry+ Lindley. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Edward, Samuel, Robert, Mordecai, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 39 in 1805 in OH.General Notes
