Elizabeth Carter 
Elizabeth was born on June 17th, 1769 in Cane Creek, Orange, NC. Elizabeth's father was Samuel Carter and her mother was Mary Barnes. Her maternal grandparents were Brinsley+ Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth Barry+ Lindley. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Edward, Samuel, Robert, Mordecai, Mary and Margaret. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 41 in 1810 in Wayne Co., IN.General Notes
