John Vestal 
John was born on August 2nd, 1770 in Cane Creek, Orange, NC. John's father was Thomas Curran+ Vestal and his mother was Elizabeth+ Davis. His paternal grandparents were William+ Vestal and Elizabeth Mercer; his maternal grandparents were Charles+ Davis and Hannah+ Matson. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas+, Jemima and Rachel. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 35 in 1805 in NC.General Notes
