Charles Seth Bates 
Charles Seth was born on May 10th, 1833 in Clark, IL. Charles Seth's father was David Bates and his mother was Eliza Eastin. His paternal grandfather was Seth Huron Bates and his paternal grandmother is Sarah X; his maternal grandparents were Charles Smith Eastin and Sarah Swearingen. He had four brothers and a sister, named William Alexander, Isaac, John Edward, David Sterling and Elizabeth Melissa. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 63 on June 30th, 1896 in Limestone, TX. He was buried in Ft. Parker Memorial, Limestone, TX.General Notes
