David Bates 
David was born on March 23rd, 1807 in Hamilton Co., OH. David's father was Seth Huron Bates and his mother is Sarah X. His paternal grandfather is Uzal Bates and his paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Huron. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John M., Silas H., Elizabeth and Phoebe Lumbrick. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 63 on February 9th, 1871 in Boxchurch, Limestone Co., TX.General Notes
