William Allen

William was born on December 7th, 1800 in Orange Co., NC. William's father was John III Allen and his mother was Rachel Abigail Stout. His paternal grandparents were John II Allen and Phebe Scarlet. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named John IV, Peter, Joseph, Samuel, Nathan, Harmon Daniel, Solomon, Joel, Abigail, Phebe, Rachel and Hannah. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 77 on January 25th, 1878.
