Joel Allen 
Joel was born on July 26th, 1796 in Orange Co., NC. Joel's father was John III Allen and his mother was Rachel Abigail Stout. His paternal grandparents were John II Allen and Phebe Scarlet. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named John IV, Peter, Joseph, Samuel, Nathan, Harmon Daniel, Solomon, William, Abigail, Phebe, Rachel and Hannah.
