Eric, known as "Bloodaxe", was born in 0885. "Bloodaxe"'s father was King Harald ("Fairhair", "Fine Hair", "Thick Hair") Halfdansson I of Norway and his mother is Gyda Eiriksdatter. His paternal grandfather was King Halfdan ("the Black") Gudrodsson III of Norway and his paternal grandmother is Ragnhild Sigurdsdatter; his maternal grandfather is King Eirik of Jutland or Nordaland. He had a sister named "Aarbod". He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Olaf, Bjorn, Sigurd, "Bloodaxe", Ingeborge and Ingebiord. He died at the age of 69 in 0954.-
