Joan was born in 1272 in Acre, Palestine. Joan's father was "Longshanks" King of England Edward I and her mother was Princess Of Castile and Leon Eleanor. Her paternal grandparents were King of England (1216-1272) Henry III and of Provance, Queen England Eleanor; her maternal grandparents were Alfonsez King of Castile & Leon Fernando III and Jeanne Of Dammartin Of Ponthieu. She had a brother and four sisters, named Plantagenet, King of England, Princess Of England, Margaret Princess Of, Elizabeth Princess Of and Blanche Princess Of. She was the second oldest of the six children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Plantagenet, of Brotherton, Earl Norfolk, Plantagenet, of Woodstock, Earl of Kent 1, John and Eleanor. She died in Clare, Suffolk, England. She was buried on September 7th, 1265 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.-
