Her paternal grandparents were Ranulph III de Meschines 3rd Earl of Chester, Viscount Bayeux and Countess Lucia Taillebois Countess of Chester; her maternal grandparents were Robert De Caen Earl De Gloucester and Maud Fitz Hamon. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Richard de, Hugh Keveliok (3Rd Earl), Maud, Alice de and Beatrice De. She is the third youngest of the six children.General Notes
