Alan II de was born in ,,Lincolnshire,England. Alan II de's father was Alured Auvrai de Lincoln and his mother was Elsie Hesilia Crispin. His paternal grandparents are a Breton and of Bucknall; his maternal grandfather was Gilbert Crispin Earl De Briony and his maternal grandmother is Gunnora d'AUNOU. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William II and Beatrix. He died after 1131.General Notes

Alan could not have been born bef 1072/3, when Esilia would have reached the
age of 42, after which time she would have had at least one other child, Alured
de Lincoln II. [Falaise Roll, p. 157]
Alan II appears in the great Pipe roll of Henry I in Lincolnshire on the page
opposite to entries concerning the Countess Lucia and her son Earl Ranulph in
1131, which demonstrates that he could not have been the Alan of 1081. [Falaise
