Ira Hadley 
Ira was born on June 23rd, 1803 in Chatham Co., North Carolina.1 Ira's father was Jeremiah Hadley and his mother was Ruth Maris. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah (Joshua) Hadley and Mary Dickey; his maternal grandparents were George Maris and Mary Eleanor Lindley. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George, Aaron, James Dickey, Lot Maris, Eleanor, Mary, Susanna and Eunice. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 53 on September 28th, 1856.1 -
