Edgar Russell Senter 
Edgar Russell was born on February 16th, 1895 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 Edgar Russell's father was William Conway Senter and his mother was Elizabeth Comelia Kelley. His paternal grandparents were James C. Senter and Frances Jackson. He had six brothers and four sisters, named C. C., James Conway, William Alvin, John Pinkney, Thomas Smyth, Henry Partain, Frankie Jane, Jeffie May, Rosalie and Dora. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 82 on March 25th, 1977 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 General Notes

Uncle Edgar lived at home until after WWI. He and Uncle Partain m
ov ed to West Texas near Ralls, to farm. After Uncle Partain return
ed to Alv arado, Uncle Edgar stayed in west Texas until he retired. Unc
le Edgar w as a carpenter; later, he sharpened saws for the public. He w
as an excell ent dominoe player and did not accept careless playing by h
is partner s. He never marrried, and lived in a small apartment at the o
ld Hotel ea st of the square in Alvarado.
