James C. Senter 
James C. was born on September 18th, 1806 in Cumberland, North Carolina.1 James C.'s father was William Senter and his mother was Jency Ann Butler. His paternal grandparents were Henry Senter and Rebecca Avent. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William Butler, Delaney, Moses Easter, Patrick Henry, Alvin A., Rebecca, Mary Polly, Morning, Susanah Matilda and Elizabeth Jane. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 36 on September 29th, 1842 in Tennessee.1 General Notes
