Elizabeth Ritchie 
Elizabeth was born in May 1842 in Perry Co., Kentucky.1 Elizabeth's father was Thomas Grigsby Ritchie and her mother was Kissiah Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Crockett Ritchie and Elizabeth Susan Grigsby. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Benjamin, James Irvine, Samuel, Joshua, William, Thomas, Armelda and Serena. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
