Alexander Crockett was born on January 20th, 1838 in Perry Co., Kentucky.1 Alexander Crockett's father was James Monroe Ritchie and his mother is Hannah Fugate. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crockett Ritchie and Elizabeth Susan Grigsby. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Martin Washburn, Francis, Gabriel, Andrew, Samuel, Zackariah, John, James Crockett, Joshua, Elizabeth, Tabitha, Hannah, Mahalah and Martha. He was the sixth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 64 in February 1902 in Breathitt Co. Kentucky.1 General Notes
