James Crockett Ritchie

James Crockett was born on October 8th, 1852 in Perry Co., Kentucky.¹ James Crockett's father was James Monroe Ritchie and his mother is Hannah Fugate. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crockett Ritchie and Elizabeth Susan Grigsby. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Martin Washburn, Francis, Gabriel, Alexander Crockett, Andrew, Samuel, Zackariah, John, Joshua, Elizabeth, Tabitha, Hannah, Mahalah and Martha. He was the fourth youngest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 42 on November 3rd, 1894 in Knott Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Fugate Cemetery, Knott Co., Kentucky.¹¹
