Samuel Ritchie 
Samuel was born in May 1841 in Perry Co., Kentucky.1 Samuel's father was James Monroe Ritchie and his mother is Hannah Fugate. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crockett Ritchie and Elizabeth Susan Grigsby. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Martin Washburn, Francis, Gabriel, Alexander Crockett, Andrew, Zackariah, John, James Crockett, Joshua, Elizabeth, Tabitha, Hannah, Mahalah and Martha. He was the eighth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 70 in 1911 in Breathitt Co. Kentucky.1 General Notes
