Allen A Cherry 
Allen A was born on March 2nd, 1808 in EDGECOMBE, NC.1 Allen A's father was William Cherry and his mother was Frances Taylor. His paternal grandfather was William Cherry; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Taylor and Sarah Best. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Taylor, John, George Washington, Bailey Harrison, Frances, Mary Ann Eliza, Sarah, Charlotte and Lucinda Hurd. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Obadiah, Samuel, John, Frances, Jane, Lavina and Nancy. He died at the age of 83 on April 12th, 1891 in WARREN COUNTY, KY.1 General Notes
