Queen Addie was born on May 1st, 1864 in Burnet, Burnet Co., Texas.1 Queen Addie's father was George Joseph Blackman and her mother was Cynthia Ellen Oxley. Her maternal grandparents were Enoch Oxley and Elizabeth Smalley. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James Enoch, William Everitt, John Michael, Charles Alexander, Elizabeth Catherine, Mary Dena and Nancy Evalyn. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers named Everett L. and Ernie M.. She died at the age of 45 on December 30th, 1909 in Pfugerville, Travis Co., Texas.1 General Notes
